The purpose of oral health education is to impart knowledge on the significance of good oral care and the importance of seeing a dental professional regularly. We aim to educate our clients about the importance of mechanical removal of oral biofilm via toothbrushing, flossing and use of chemotherapeutic agents. At Smiles On Wheels we assess and consider clients limitations, their risks, susceptibility to disease, their personal and cultural values and preferences before formulating the goals for daily oral care.
