The Smiles On Wheels team is passionate about educating communities both local and international about oral health. In partnership with our non-profit organization, My Dream Smile, our hygienists provide oral health education to local schools and senior homes. These oral health seminars focus on the connection between oral health and overall health, brushing techniques, and how small changes in oral hygiene can bring positive results. But it doesn’t stop there, our CEO Balbir Sohi conducts these seminars in rural public schools located in India with a goal to provide dental health awareness, free toothbrushes, and toothpaste to children in schools.
The Smiles On Wheels team also supports students in dental hygiene colleges by mentoring them and sharing experiences from the field. In collaboration with Durham College’s dental hygiene students, we have provided free services to local community members in need.
